Principal’s Insight

Dear students, parents, staff members and well-wishers,
It’s my privilege to be the maiden principal of this prestigious institution.
As a principal I believe teaching is not just a profession, it’s a vocation, a gift from God.
This school is not just a building that I have to administrate; it is a deep feeling of attachment. It consists of not only tiny tots but also teenagers who look upon us for love, guidance and encouragement to step into the vast world. My entire team of teachers are here to provide a loving, learning and empathetic environment that ignites the spirit of imagination and enthusiasm towards learning.
I do realize that the new generation our young ones need a lot of guidance, moral support and stimulation to cope up with the new technology and changing face of the world. I can sum up the education in Jnana Degula Academy in the words of “Rabindranath Tagore: – The highest education is not that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence”.
As the Principal every stakeholder is a learner and every day is an opportunity to learn and discover. We look at ourselves as a community of learners, where everyone learns including our teachers, parents & staff. I believe in upholding high standards with an absolute commitment to strive to understand and improve the educational process, using team strategies, while wholly centring on student achievement.
Our staffs fruitfully employ two diverse strategies that are of Love and Logic to foster a positive learning environment for all our students. Love and Logic may seem like two contrasting forces. While love helps nurture trusting relationships, where students feel respected, appreciated and loved by the teachers, logic helps develop in students personal responsibility, self-control, good decision making skills self-confidence, and character building with high moral values.
Your child’s learning involves and revolves around an effective partnership between home & school. We know the stronger the partnership is the more your child will benefit.
Whilst we know that the information here will give you answers to some of your questions, we also know that learning is social, and in this context we encourage you to come and speak to us in person for a more detailed perspective.
